Description
With all that is unfolding in our country and the wider world, many of us are carrying strong emotions, uncertainty, and concern. This gathering is an invitation to come together as a community – to hold these experiences in sangha, and to let our practice be supported by connection with others on the path.

This afternoon offers a space where we can be with what is arising, together. Through our shared presence we can support one another in processing emotions, making sense of what we’re experiencing, and remembering the resources of the dharma and the sangha in challenging times.

The emphasis will be on speaking and listening from direct experience, with care, respect, and confidentiality, allowing the community itself to be part of the support. Interwoven in the sharing and reflections the teachers may offer some short reflections that touch on themes such as non-violence (harmlessness), compassion, resilience, and skillful ways of meeting difficult emotions.

This is an intentional space for those who find it helpful to meet current events more directly, held within the container of practice and community. While coming to sangha can sometimes be a refuge from the world, this gathering invites us to also let the sangha be a place where we turn toward what is happening – together, with awareness, kindness, and care.

We will close with some (optional)  informal time to connect and enjoy simple snacks, continuing the spirit of community.
