Description
Join Buddhist teachers devon and nico for an intimate evening exploring how ancient wisdom meets modern love. Drawing from their new book This Messy, Gorgeous Love: A Buddhist Guide to Lasting Partnership, they’ll share practical insights on bringing mindfulness and compassion into the beautiful complexity of intimate relationships.

Through personal stories and guided meditation, discover how Buddhist principles like dukkha and impermanence apply to partnership. Learn why conflict can become a doorway to intimacy, what real patience looks like, and how embracing love’s messy reality can lead to greater joy and connection.

Whether single, partnered, or somewhere in between, this evening offers wisdom for loving more skillfully in all relationships. Come ready to laugh, reflect, and see your connections through fresh eyes.

Logistics
Devon and nico will be teaching online, via Zoom. A Zoom link will be sent closer to the date. Those who wish can gather at Ekoji (3411 Grove Ave) to participate in community. We’ll be engaging with devon and nico via a big screen. After devon and nico are done we’ll have an “after party”, with some discussion and teaching led by IMCR guiding teacher Marjolein Janssen and some social time with snacks. Devon and nico will end at 7:00 PM, the in person portion of the evening will end by 7:45 PM. You are also welcome to participate from home via Zoom. The Zoom link will be sent closer to the date.

Generosity for the Teacher and the IMCR Group
This event is offered on a dana basis (donation basis). There are two ways to practice generosity for this program. Generosity for the teachers and generosity for the IMCR group. We appreciate donations of any amount you feel comfortable and generous giving.

Your donation to the teachers provides support to allow devon and nico to continue offering these teachings, and your donation to the IMCR group allows the continuation of the IMCR group. Please give as feels appropriate and generous for you. Please delight in your generosity and know that the dharma continues to be offered to you and others through our collective acts of sharing. All are welcome, no donation is required.

You can donate online to devon and nico and/or the IMCR group.
