A retreat is a wonderful way to unplug from the busyness of daily life and find restfulness and ease. This retreat will be held partly, or mostly, outdoors, weather permitting. This is a wonderful chance to try a silent meditation retreat while surrounded by the beauty of the Virginia forest. We follow the ancient tradition of using nature to support our spiritual journey. Nature has a many teachings for us, and we will explore some of those throughout the weekend.
Please join us for the December Daylong Retreat at Living Water.
Begin the new year with the sangha through an afternoon and evening of meditation, reflection, and community. We’ll practice together through periods of dharma sharing, sitting, and reflection. There will be time to reflect on the past year, on what might need forgiveness as well as what has been wholesome and meaningful, and on what our aspirations for the coming year might be.
In this six-month program we will be deepening our practice and understanding of the four brahmaviharas (the four heavenly abodes): loving kindness, compassion, sympathetic joy, and equanimity.
